Additional Information | in 1849 Fowler enrolled in the Central Medical College, an eclectic school in Syracuse, N.Y. When the college moved seventy-five miles west to Rochester, Fowler followed, receiving her degree in June 1850 - becoming the second woman in the United States to receive a medical degree. |
