Additional Information Samuel Auguste David Tissot was a Swiss medical professional, trained at the Academy founded by Calvin in Geneva, and also at Montpelier. In 1752 he was appointed 'médecin des pauvres' (doctor of the poor) by the city of Lausanne administration.
