| Additional Information | A series of cartoons, in a sequential form similar to that of contemporary comic strips, tells of "How Adolphus Slim-Jim Used Jackson's Best [Chewing Tobacco] and Was Happy." In two of the illustrations a physician takes the patient's pulse, diagnoses the young man's lovesickness, and prescribes Jackson's tobacco, which leads to a happy ending to the story. Originally published as part of a booklet, each card includes a sizable advertisement for Jackson's Best to reinforce its message and to insure continued publicity in case the pages were separated.
