Additional Information | Michael Underwood trained as a surgeon at St George's Hospital in London around 1758. By 1766 he was surgeon to the British Lying-In Hospital, where he assisted in difficult labours, attended mothers and newborns, and provided a course of lectures to midwives trained at the hospital. |
